Install, the icon next to the address bar, Translate, Watch — the first ten minutes.
Zeya is a Chrome extension. Once it is installed it sits quietly until you open a video.
Add Zeya to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store — free. Then press the puzzle piece at the top right of Chrome and pin Zeya — the icon next to the address bar is the door to everything.
Open a video, then press the Zeya icon. The first time, Zeya asks you to Continue with Google: Google's own account chooser opens, you pick an account, and nothing is typed into Zeya. That account is your Zeya account — Zeya keeps its email to know it is you, and reads nothing else from it. A three-line Quick Start follows, once. Signing in, and signing out.
Pick the language you want. The popup says how long the video is, how much time you have, and about how long the translation takes (an hour of video is usually done in a few minutes). Press Translate this video. You can leave the tab — Zeya finishes on its own and the icon shows a tick.
Nothing is taken when you press Translate. Your time counts only while the voice plays — a minute for every minute — and stops when you press Stop.
Press Watch in Hinglish (or whichever language you chose). The video plays, the voice speaks, the words appear on the picture, and a bar sits at the top of the video with everything you can change. The bar, explained.
When the video ends, a card shows the total, what this watch used, and your time left, with three doors: Open the summary, View transcript and Ask Zeya. The summary, and Ask Zeya.
