The summary, and Ask Zeya

What is made with every video, how answers are counted, what "not in this video" means.

The summary

When a video is translated, Zeya also writes a summary in your language: Short (one paragraph) or Full (three), the key points in order, questions you should be able to answer after the video, and the questions the speaker asked. It also suggests a clean name for the video — press Use this name and History shows it.

The summary is made with the translation. It is not an answer — it never counts against Ask Zeya.

Ask Zeya

Open a video in History and press Ask Zeya. A drawer opens at the right. Ask anything about the video; the answer comes from what was said, with said at 12:34 chips — press one and the transcript opens at that line. After every answer, three things you might ask next.

  • Not in this video. When the answer isn't in the video, Zeya still answers from general knowledge and marks it "not in this video — from general knowledge", so you always know which is which.
  • The language. Answers come in the transcript's language. The chip at the top of the drawer changes that — Zeya remembers your choice.
  • "Hi" is free. A greeting or a thank-you gets a line back and costs no answer.
  • Answers a month: Basic 30 · Pro 100 · Max 300. The count sits on the Ask Zeya button, and you can add more when you run low.

Your questions and answers stay in your Chrome, per video. They are sent to be answered and are not stored on our side.
