What's new

Every version, in plain words.

Chrome updates the extension on its own. The version is at the bottom of the History page.

Google sign-in, speed on the bar, the popup in cards, December

  • Upgrade opens zeya.dev/december: guess the price of each plan, and a guess within ten rupees wins that plan for a month. The plans arrive in December; until then every account is on Basic, free.
  • Contact, in the popup: write to us, or WhatsApp — the number is there to copy.
  • Continue with Google opens Google's own account chooser — pick an account, and nothing is typed into Zeya. That account is your Zeya account, and this is the one door.
  • A speed chip on the bar — 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 2×. It mirrors the player's own speed, and the voice follows.
  • Voice only is now the default mix: the video's own sound is off while Zeya speaks. Auto, with the original as a murmur between the lines, is one press away.
  • The popup, in cards: the languages side by side, the video and your time in one card, the button on its own.
  • Stop ends the watch and opens the popup under the Zeya icon by itself — out of full screen first. Continue from, what the watch cost, History and Settings are right there. The bar stays, saying Stopped; Start continues from where you were.
  • In full screen the bar hides when the player's controls hide and comes back when you move the mouse; for the first half-second after it comes back nothing on it can be pressed by mistake. The minimised bar is a small pill in the top-left corner.
  • One popup at a time — the toolbar's and the one on the video never stack.
  • Sign out asks first. The voice stops on every tab; your History stays on this Chrome.

A minute of voice is a minute

  • Nothing is taken when you press Translate. A minute is counted only while the voice plays; jump ahead and the minutes you skipped cost nothing; press Stop and the counting stops.
  • Every plan translates a number of new videos a day — the popup says when the day resets.
  • The Finished card always shows what this watch used, in minutes.
  • The time-left line is softer when a video is longer than the time you have — subtitles stay free either way.

Continue with your email

  • Continue with your email, when this Chrome has no Google account — typed once, kept.
  • Plans, in the extension: hours of voice a month, answers, the voices by name, Zeya Live, top-ups.
  • The Zeya Live line on the popup — one press, and you hear the day it is ready.
  • "Answers" is the word everywhere for what Ask Zeya gives you.

Stop keeps the bar

  • Stop leaves the bar on the video, saying Stopped, with a Start button that continues from wherever the video is.
  • The popup opened while watching pauses the video and resumes it when closed.
  • Ask Zeya answers in the language you choose, from a chip in the drawer; the answer language is remembered.
  • The summary and the transcript are one press from the Finished card.
  • A per-video bin in History, beside Clear history.
  • The mixer's Auto has a between-lines level, so the original is a murmur, not silence, between sentences.
1.0.1527 September 2026

Samples, costs and moments

  • The toolbar popup and the popup on the video never open over each other.
  • The voice says its own name, in its own script, when you play a sample.
  • What this watch cost is on the Finished card and on Continue.
  • Ask Zeya's answers cite the moment they come from — press it and the transcript opens there.
1.0.1427 September 2026

Small things put right

  • Subtitles stay free on a translated video even when your time is at zero.
  • No name and no age are asked for at the door.
  • When you need more than your plan has, the button says Upgrade.
  • A translated video says Translated, and there is one button to translate it: Translate this video.
1.0.1325 September 2026

History, Summary, Ask Zeya

  • History with a search, a filter that lights the word you type, and the transcript in both languages.
  • The summary: short or full, key points, the questions to answer and the ones the speaker asked.
  • Ask Zeya: a drawer beside the transcript, with three things to ask next after every answer.
  • Voices, Settings and Account pages.
1.0.1224 September 2026

The popup, in every state

  • The popup in every state: choose a language, Translate, translating, translated, partly translated, low time, nothing left.
  • The Time-left row under the video's name, in every state.
  • The Finished card with the total, what this watch used, and the time left.
1.0.1121 September 2026

The look

  • The bar's new look: status, play, Stop, the voice, the mixer, where the words go, the gear, minimise.
  • The video starts by itself when you press Watch, on players that allow it.
  • A video's clean name in History instead of the tab's title.
1.0.1018 September 2026

One voice

  • One voice after you jump to another point in the video, never two.
  • Nothing in square brackets on the video — a cough is a cough, not a subtitle.
  • Watch starts the player.
1.0.917 September 2026

The icon next to the address bar

  • The toolbar icon opens the same popup as on the video.
  • A tab without a video says so and offers History and Settings.
  • The first run: continue with Google, a three-line Quick Start, once.
