Your time, and how it is counted

A minute of voice is a minute: nothing at the press, jumps cost nothing, subtitles stay free.

Zeya's meter is in minutes of voice. The popup shows your time left under the video's name, in every state.

One rule: a minute of voice is a minute

  • Nothing is taken when you press Translate. Translating is free; the voice is what your time pays for.
  • While the voice plays, a minute is counted for every minute. Watch 49 minutes of a one-hour video and 49 minutes go. Press Stop and the counting stops.
  • Jumps cost nothing. Skip from minute 3 to minute 15 and the twelve minutes in between are not counted.
  • Watching again counts again. The hours are hours of voice, whichever video it plays on.
  • Subtitles are free. On any translated video, the words keep coming even when your time is at zero. Only the voice needs time.
  • New translations a day: five — enough for a week of study; the limit is there only to stop abuse.
  • Zeya Live, from December: a live minute counts as two.

Free until December

Every account is on the Basic plan until December: ten hours of voice, both voices, the summary and Ask Zeya. Nothing is charged. In December the plans arrive — Basic, Pro and Max, in rupees — and their prices are announced; until then, guess them and win a month. Your time is counted in your own Chrome — the Account page shows it, with the last thirty days.

When the time runs out

The voice stops, the subtitles carry on, and the popup offers Add time or Upgrade. What was translated is never lost.

Cancelling

From the Account page, any time. A plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. Refund & Cancellation.
